ITS Engineering College has been ranked among top 6-25 innovative higher education private or self financed college/ institutions across India and Top 3 in Uttar Pradesh in the ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements) announced by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. ARIIA is an initiative by the Ministry of Education (MoE) which is implemented by AICTE and Ministry’s Innovation Cell, Government of India. The results of ARIIA rankings 2020 have been evaluated based on seven parameters — budget and funding support, infrastructure and facilities, awareness, promotions, and support for idea generation and innovation, promotion and support for entrepreneurship development, innovative learning methods and courses, intellectual property generation, technology transfer and commercialization and innovation in the governance of the institution.

The college ranking 2020 India report was announced by Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Vice President of India in the presence of Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Hon’ble Minister of Education, Govt. of India; Shri Sanjay Shamrao Dhotre, Hon’ble Minister of State for Education; Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Hon’ble Chairman, AICTE; Shri Amit Khare, Secretary, Higher Education and other dignitaries at an august ceremony in New Delhi on 18th August 2020. ARIIA is an initiative of Ministry of Education (earlier Human Resource Development), Govt. of India to systematically rank all major higher educational institutions and universities in India on indicators related to “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development” amongst students and faculties.

Engineering College, Greater Noida is a part of ITS –The Education Group which is established upon a rich legacy of two and a half decades, strongly believes in “turning students into job creators instead of job seekers”. The institute has always been instrumental in propelling its engineers towards creativity and innovation. It believes in the philosophy that “Innovative Technocrats Sparkle (ITS)” everywhere.

The college has established Navrachna Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development is for the ones who takes the entrepreneurship as a career option and to empower students, faculty and staff to pursue entrepreneurial achievements to improve people’s lives, drive the economy. It also helps innovators to bridge the gap between inventor and venture capitalist through three different government supported incubation cell – Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) which is supported by MSME and Department of Science & Technology, Govt of India, Business Incubation Centre (BIC) and NewGen IEDC which focuses on generation and further research and development of new ideas with financial assistance through Department of Science & Technology.

The College participated in NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge and got selected for best design award. Besides this,it qualified for Smart India Hackathon 2020 final round based on App Development on Food Processing Problem. ITS also bagged a grant of 7 lacs in the Himalyan Start up Trek 2019 for Incubation Support at IIT Mandi. Teams from different branches participated in IIT Roorkee, IIT Delhi, IIT Mandi, IIT Kanpur and achieved 1st and 2nd positions in the different events like Robo-Wars, Robo-Race etc. Besides all these achievements, our team ranked 1st in Grid Tech 2019 competition and awarded Study Visa for Japan. The Institute also received Certificate of Recognition for Effective Practices for Incubation Center by Engineering College in 14th World Education Summit Delhi 2019. The College was conferred with Education Excellence Award on National Summit on Women & Education Empowerment 2020 in the presence of Honourable Minister – Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari.

Some of our notable innovations include: Smart E bike, E Sugarcane Crusher, Juicer Machine, Health Monitoring System Rail Generator, Reception Robot, Low cost Sewage Cleaning Machine, Smart Gardening System, Smart Inhaler, Smart Shopping Trolley, Solar Panel 3 stage cleaning machine, Traffic free ambulance system, to name a few.

Given the worldwide pandemic situations, the college also launched many novel innovations. Some of the notable innovations are Krishna – the multifunctional Covid specific robot that can perform RF ID scanning, auto-thermal scanning, ECG and blood pressure testing and sanitizing unit for 2 meters, rapid currency sanitizing machine that sanitizes the currency at a rate of 200 notes per minutes with effective sanitization using aerosol, elevated temperature and UVC radiation, rapid multipurpose disinfectant that completely sanitizes any file folder, letter and other items in very quick manner in less than 15 seconds.
