Munich, Germany – June 30, 2026 – From June 23 to 25 local time, Intersolar Europe 2026 was held at Messe München. On the opening day of Intersolar Europe, Huang Guohua, General Manager of the Marketing Center at Hengtong Energy Storage, gave an exclusive interview on the company’s product and technology roadmap, European market strategy and industry outlook.

According to Huang, Hengtong Energy Storage presented two core hardware products at the exhibition: a high-safety immersion-cooled energy storage system and a standardized 5MWh string-based energy storage system. The company also introduced all-scenario string-based system solutions and integrated support covering project development.

Designed for utility-scale energy storage stations, the immersion-cooled system helps mitigate fire risks caused by cell thermal runaway. Compared with conventional plate heat exchanger-based liquid cooling, the technology controls the system temperature difference within 2.2°C, reducing auxiliary energy consumption while helping extend cycle life.

For all-scenario applications, Hengtong’s string-based energy storage system adopts an independent “one cluster, one management unit” architecture. Faulted units can be isolated and taken offline independently without affecting overall system operation, significantly improving system availability. The architecture also enables precise, targeted operation and maintenance, improving O&M efficiency and reducing lifecycle O&M costs.

Huang said the exhibition sends a clear message to the industry: Hengtong Energy Storage has full-chain service capabilities covering core energy storage equipment, complete system integration and project delivery. With highly reliable products and lifecycle services, the company is well positioned to meet Europe’s stringent safety standards and growing demand for large-scale energy storage, supporting the region’s energy transition and deeper global low-carbon industrial cooperation.

Huang noted that the European market sets some of the world’s highest entry requirements for product certification, warranty systems and after-sales service. Hengtong Energy Storage is leveraging Hengtong’s three European production bases in Portugal, Spain and Germany, together with local partners, to build a localized after-sales and O&M service network that can respond efficiently to regional customer needs.

At the same time, the company is advancing the planning and construction of a dedicated localized smart manufacturing base for energy storage. This will further shorten delivery cycles, improve alignment with regional certification requirements, and enable Hengtong to meet Europe’s high standards through local production capacity and local service capabilities.

Asked about Hengtong’s core competitive strengths, Huang said Hengtong Group’s more than a decade of experience in overseas power markets has given the company full-chain R&D capabilities from core components to system integration. Regarding the prospects for China-Europe cooperation in energy storage, Huang said the two sides are highly complementary, with strong potential for mutual empowerment and broad room for growth. He emphasized that Europe is a core strategic market for Hengtong Energy Storage. Over the next three to five years, the company will steadily advance localized production capacity and service network development, deepen its presence in the local market, and work to become a leading provider of end-to-end lifecycle solutions for complete energy storage stations.
